In a move that has been described as targeted at consolidating his leadership claim on the party, Governor Sani Bello has summoned a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
It was gathered that part of the aim of the meeting may be to officially hand over the party structures to Bello and confirm the ouster of Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni as the chairman of the Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
Recall Governor Bello on Monday stormed the APC National Secretariat in Abuja where he presided over a meeting of the Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also inaugurated the state party chairmen of the party.
This happened shortly after the APC had denied sacking Mai Mala Buni.
